DIY Saturday
Crayon Pumpkin
This is a super easy DIY the whole family can help with! Most of the supplies you probably already have, but here is a list:
~Pumpkin, any size will work
~Glue Gun
~Hair Dryer
~Newspaper
~Crayons
First pick out the crayons you want to use You can get creative and pick all shades of one color, the rainbow, colors of a sports team, or halloween colors!
Then start to peel off the the paper on each crayon.
Break the crayons into halves.
Get your glue gun ready. Add a little glue to a piece of crayon and put it at the top of the pumpkin. Repeat until you put all the crayons on.
Go all the way around the pumpkin.
Set out your newspaper and put your pumpkin on top. You will need the hair dryer, too!
Start up the hair dryer and start melting the crayons! Make sure your setting is on low, if it's high your crayons will start to melt and splatter every place.
Here is part of what the crayons look like during the melting process.
The crayons dry really fast if the heat is no longer on them. Little fingers trying to pick away my masterpiece :)
Here is the finished pumpkin! Looks pretty neat and was easy!
You can also spray paint the pumpkin before you glue the crayons on top. Such an easy way to decorate your pumpkin this year. Make sure to send us your pictures if you try an DIY's!
