Day 102 ~ Pinteret Project : String Art Christmas Tree

~ Pinterest Project ~
String Art Christmas Tree

I love displaying Christmas Cards I get from my family and friends, just never have a good place to put them. While on pinterest, of course, I came across this cute way of displaying cards! And what is even better, I have a cute area that I can show case my daughters art work! She was more excited about using the yarn than anything, but loves a Christmas tree either way.

Supplies :
~ Yarn
~ 3M decorating clips
~ small clothes pins
~ ruler (optional)

You can start by using a ruler and measuring exact distance. But I felt wild and decided just to eye it :) Make sure you follow the directions on the 3M clips. Since I didn't measure, before I started to attach them to the wall, I laid them out and counted 7 across the bottom & 8 going up each side, that includes the points.

After you add the sticker to the clip, make sure you wait 30 minutes before adding it to the wall. You need to also make sure the clip is pointed OUT of the center of the 'tree', this way the yarn will hook.

Ta-Da! All the clips. Now you get to wait 1 hour. And believe me when I say follow this step. Otherwise you will get your yarn on and be excited and then come back and your yarn will be on the floor, with some clips. Very frustrating!!!!

I used the second clip  in on the bottom row and made a little knot around it.

Then I put yarn all the way around the clips, to make the tree stand out.

This is the last part. At the end of the yarn, or whenever you think you have enough crazy lines, cut the yarn and make a knot at the closest clip.

Now you are done and can add your clothes pins! Every time you get a christmas card, make sure to add it. Or your kids art work. Fun for everyone!!
