Fashion Flash Back ~ Day 72

Six months ago, when Prada and Gucci simultaneously began drawing from vintage looks of the 1970's, putting epaulet jackets and maxi proportions on their runways, Giorgio Armani had a great idea.

He said designers interested in flea-market clothes shouldn't bother producing samples; they should just put the old clothes on the runway, and see if buyers placed orders. "They'd save even more money that way," he said.

Mr. Armani had a point. But what works at Prada and Gucci are the stringent points of view of the houses' designers. The esthetics of Miuccia Prada and Tom Ford are so strong that their clothes cannot be written off as flea-market finds.

Day 71 ~ DIY Garland

DIY Saturday 

Paper Chain Garland

I remember making these paper chain countdowns in elementary schools, counting down to some important event, like the last day of school!  These are so easy to make. But really fun to decorate with even if you don't use them for a countdown, just simple garland. And the best part, only 3 things are needed to make this!


Supplies :
~Paper of your choice~ I stuck with a christmas theme card stock
~Scissors 
~Glue - any type will do, I used a hot glue gun

First grab your supplies

Start to cutting your paper into 1/2 inch -1 inch strips. My card stock was already cut in small sheets, 6x6.

Here is a pile of all the christmas paper I picked out and cut in to strips! This only made about 2 feet of garland, so keep in mind the more the better if you want it long! 

Next, take a starting strip face side up and add glue to the end, then fold over the other end. Hold for a few seconds.

Careful with the glue gun, gets super hot!!

Then slide another strip of paper into the center of the circle you completed. 

Turn it and add the glue to the pattern side again, and attach the other end. 

Repeat this step, over and over :) Until you reach your desired length of garland, or in my case, out of paper!

Simple and fun! Just added a super cute touch to these trees.

Day 68 ~ Photoshoot

Fashion photo shoot with Studio B

We had another great photo shoot last week with Mandy from Studio B. We can't begin to tell you how amazingly talented she is. Her work always has us speechless, plus she is super fun to work with! If you haven't liked Studio B on facebook yet, do it! They have specials all the time for sessions. 

This amazing shirt is from our Flying Tomato line, their brand- Champagne & Strawberry. Love the little bow detail. Those gorgeous drop earrings add a great pop of color to a basic color top. 

We added a floral print cardigan over the Champagne & Strawberry top. LOVE. This cardigan is adorable and comfortable!

Here is our line of basics. Super soft & comfortable. You could lounge in these all day. We wear them to bed even! We paired them with our leg warmers from Three Birds Nest. The great thing about our basic line is that it isn't super expensive. These pieces go great with anything. 

We have 3 basic colors of the leggings, as well as a cheetah print!

Our Niki Biki seamless long sleeve tops come in a few colors, we even have a selection of Niki Biki tanks. 

These long zip up sweaters are gorgeous. We love the detail that each one has, since no two are the same. The print is simply amazing. 

Another piece we just love here, the knitted bow scarf from Three Birds Nest. Can be worn as a bow, or just a long knitted scarf. 

We just got a bunch of clutches in a week ago and they are already flying out the door! We have a wide range of colors available. Great pop of color to any outfit!!

We brought back the striped sweater dress, only this time in a shade of grey!
